Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 15 days of delivery. All new returns will be processed for merchandise only (net of any shipping charges paid to The Boaters Shop) and are subject to a 12% restocking fee which will be deducted from the refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund as soon as the product has been received and inspected.
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Manufacturer Warranty and Shipping Claims: As a retailer of marine products,The Boaters Shop purchases from various manufacturers which may provide limited warranties for their products. A copy of an applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty is available upon request. The Boaters Shop does not offer any warranties, whether expressed or implied. The Boaters Shop does not assume responsibility or liability for the workmanship or use of products purchased from our suppliers. All warranties other than those supplied by the product manufacturer, whether expressed or implied, including those of fitness, merchantability and/or workmanship are hereby disclaimed by The Boaters Shop.
However, as a courtesy to our customers, The Boaters Shop may accept for return certain products that are defective, damaged in shipping, or shipped in error.
No merchandise may be returned to us for any reason without RMA Returns merchandise authorization , original invoice number must be provided (see phone numbers for Customer Service below). If applicable, the product manufacturer will inspect the defective product and contact The Boaters Shop regarding the issuance of your credit. Defective items deemed not acceptable for credit by the product manufacturer or returned without prior written authorization (a valid RMA#) will be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense or discarded. Acceptance of any such products by The Boaters Shop does not constitute an admission of liability nor validity to any warranty claim between our customers and product manufacturers, but is done solely to assist the customer and product manufacturer.
Restockable Merchandise Returns: Special orders, materials made to order, cut to length, and/or items classified as hazardous material cannot be canceled or returned. Additionally, custom boat covers, windshields, boat covers which have been opened are not returnable. Electronics are not returnable unless the error is The Boaters Shop. New merchandise in its original and undamaged packaging and in re-saleable condition, without customer’s markings, may be approved for restocking by The Boaters Shop within 15 days from date of delivery of invoice. Merchandise returned after 15 days in its original and undamaged packaging, without customer’s markings will be subject to at least 25% restocking fee. No returns will be accepted after 30 days from invoice.
Reason and original invoice number must be provided and Returned Goods Authorization numbers should be obtained from the customer service department. Return authorization for restocking will not be granted for any merchandise that has been subjected to damage, abuse, or alteration of the product or packaging in any way, or for special orders and/or items that cannot be returned to original manufacturer. Return authorization will only be considered for special order merchandise that is defective or shipped in error. No merchandise may be returned to us for restocking without prior written authorization. Upon inspection and final approval of the returned product, you will be issued a credit less applicable restocking fees as stated above.
All returns, defective or otherwise, must be shipped prepaid.
Customer acknowledges that she/he has read this Return Policy and is fully advised of the requirements set forth for the return of merchandise and that no merchandise should be returned without contacting Customer Service to obtain a return authorization (RMA#) prior to returning said merchandise.
Customer acknowledges that this Return Policy constitutes the entire policy affecting this purchase. No other policy or understanding of any type, nature or style, whether oral or in writing, concerning this agreement or any warranties has been made or entered into will be recognized.
How to return a product;
1. Log into The Boaters Shop, then go to My Account.
2. Go to Completed Orders, then click Return Item(s) next to their item.
3. Fill out the following items on the return request:
- Quantity to return
- Return reason
- Return action optional
- Comments optional
4. Click Submit Return Request.
We will send you a RMA # within 48 hours and instructions on how to ship your product back to us.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order and your package ships we will provide you with a tracking number. In some cases your shipment may come from more than one warehouse and arrive on different days. Please check tracking numbers for each shipment before contacting customer service.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
DAMAGE/LOSS SHORTAGE Our packaging is done with care to insure that your order is received in good condition. Any damage, shortage or discrepancy discovered on shipment via U.P.S. or USPS or other carrier, please note the discrepancy, damage, etc., on freight bill and immediately file proper claim with delivering carrier.Do not accept packages that are badly damaged. Damage and shortage of packages is the responsibility of the delivering carrier.
